A blast has been reported near the old police lines in Kohat, with several people reportedly injured.

According to Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa spokesperson Bilal Ahmad Faizi, rescue teams reached the site immediately after receiving the information and launched a rescue operation.

He said that the injured are being shifted to a nearby hospital in ambulances. So far, more than 20 injured people have been taken to nearby hospitals, while the condition of several injured people is reported to be critical.

The spokesperson said rescue teams are still present at the site and assessing the situation. Further details will be shared as more information becomes available.
