In response to the ongoing Bannu incident, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur, has decided to convene an Apex Committee meeting. The announcement will be personally delivered by the CM to the protestors on Friday. In a meeting at the CM House regarding the law and order situation, government officials and 50 members from Bannu participated, including the Chief Minister, provincial ministers, Chief Secretary, IG, and relevant administrative officers.
The protestors refused to end the sit-in until their demands were met, prompting the CM to schedule the Apex Committee meeting within 48 hours to address their concerns. Five members from the protest committee will also attend the meeting.

The Jirga, Yesterday, made it clear that they will not accept "Operation Azm-e-Istehkam" under any circumstances and demanded the immediate closure of all existing Taliban centers in Bannu.
Additionally, the Jirga emphasized the need to grant the police full authority and provide them with all necessary resources to handle any unpleasant situations effectively. They also called for the full activation of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) to take action against terrorists, stating that no other entity should have the authority to intervene or conduct operations.
