Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, said that terrorists and their facilitators would be shown no leniency and that security operations against them would continue.

Addressing a press conference on the security situation in Balochistan, he said that three major terrorist incidents had occurred in the province over the past four days, resulting in the martyrdom of 42 security personnel.

According to him, security forces killed 26 terrorists in retaliatory operations following the recent attacks, bringing the total number of terrorists eliminated in various operations to 54.

The DG ISPR said the first incident took place on the night between July 4 and 5, the second on July 6, while the third attack occurred in the Mangi Dam Quetta Pumping Station area. He added that terrorists also targeted police checkpoints in Ziarat, where all the fallen personnel were members of the local police.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said those behind these terrorist attacks were enemies of Pakistan's development. He alleged that Afghan territory was being used for terrorism against Pakistan and claimed that these activities were being supported by the Afghan government.

He further stated that most of the terrorists killed in the recent operations were Afghan nationals, adding that three of the four attackers involved in a recent attack in Karachi were also Afghan citizens. He also alleged that India was supporting terrorism in Balochistan.

He said that the development of Balochistan was essential to Pakistan's progress and reaffirmed that the state would continue operations against terrorists and their facilitators. He stressed that those targeting innocent civilians and security personnel would not be spared under any circumstances.

The DG ISPR also said that "Fitna al-Khawarij" had no connection with Islam, adding that terrorists could not justify their crimes by misusing the name of religion. He reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue its fight against terrorism, stating that no force in the world could force the country to bow, and expressed confidence that Pakistan would ultimately prevail in this war.
