According to Pakistan’s space agency, SUPARCO, Eidul Azha is likely to fall on May 27, 2026, in the country. Astronomical data suggests that the moon of Zilhaj 1447 Hijri is expected to be sighted on the evening of May 17, 2026.
According to the spokesperson, the moon will be born at 1:01am on May 17, while at sunset its age will be approximately 18 hours and 30 minutes, making the chances of moon sighting highly favourable.
SUPARCO further stated that in Pakistan’s coastal areas, there will be a gap of around 60 minutes between sunset and moonset, which further improves the possibility of moon sighting.
