Pishtakhara police have dismantled an international drug smuggling network in a major operation, recovering heroin worth 60 to 70 million rupees.
According to details, a heroin manufacturing facility was discovered and sealed in a residential house on Tajabad Street No. 10. Four suspects, including Yasin, an Afghan criminal involved in the production and distribution of heroin, were arrested.
The arrested suspects are identified as Muhammad Yasin, Naseemullah, Tehsil, and Samiullah. Two additional members of the network were apprehended based on information provided by the initial suspects. The group comprises individuals from various regions of Afghanistan and Pakistan.

During the operation, police recovered 60 kilograms of heroin valued at 60 to 70 million rupees, along with 24 kilograms of chemicals and factory equipment. A Suzuki vehicle used for transporting the drugs was also confiscated.
The operation was led by SP Cantt Division Waqas Rafiq, with DSP Pishtakhara Circle Sajjad Hussain, SHO Pishtakhara Police Station Ahmedullah Khan, and female police officers.
SP Cantt Division emphasized his commitment to eradicating drug-related crimes. He stated that the arrested individuals were planning to smuggle heroin to different cities across the country, but their scheme was thwarted by the police's timely intervention. A case has been registered at the Pishtakhara police station, and further investigation is underway.
In a separate operation, Bara police intercepted a significant hashish smuggling attempt. During a checkpoint inspection, officers discovered 60 kilograms of hashish hidden in secret compartments of a Datsun pickup truck. The suspect, who initially fled, was later apprehended in another operation, and a case has been registered against him.
